Click Here To Download The Slides

For those who don’t know what an email auto responder is, let me first clarify that for you real quick. An email auto-responder is a programmed email that goes out automatically when someone subscribes to your email list.

You’ve most likely seen this before when you’ve joined an email list of some sort. The magic happens however when a specific high value series of email auto-responders are set up and programmed to go out in a specific sequence over time.

This involves a welcome email immediately after someone subscribes to your list, followed by a valuable series of follow up emails that automatically go out over time. This is a very effective technique when used properly and not abused.

Unfortunately many people today abuse their email list by only emailing sale after sale instead of genuinely offering relevant value to their subscribers. BIG MISTAKE.

When one learns how to structure email marketing auto-responders effectively, it can really help his or her business grow!

It gives entrepreneurs an opportunity to build a relationship with their subscribers, learn more about what they need and deliver value so they actually look forward to your emails instead of just immediately deleting them before they even get read.

My intention in making this video was to give you the base foundation on how to structure email marketing auto-responders that are effective.

There’s a lot more to it, however if you follow this method you will have a good foundation to get started. And if you already have an email marketing auto-responder sequence set up, hopefully it will help you improve your response & stick rates.

I also wrote a quick summary from the video that outlines the 8 key Steps to writing epic email auto-responders.

Step 1. The Subject Line Is Most Important. WHY?

(Because if your email doesn’t get opened then nothing else matters).

Step 2. Welcome Connect And Say Hi!

Step 3. Strong Opening Headline

Step 4. Open Loop I.E. In this session we’re going to talk about ___.

Step 5. Email Body Copy. Close the loop. This is done by delivering on the promise you gave in the Headline and Open Loop.

Step 6. Call To Action (CTA)

Step 7. Future pace by opening another loop. I.E. Look for an email from me in a few days where I will reveal ___.

Step 8. Insert a P.S. (Optional)

Hope that helps give you a base foundation and understanding for structuring your email autoresponders. It seems like a lot of people really want to learn more about how to do email marketing more effectively.

If you’re interested in learning more about email marketing and crafting strategic auto-responders let me know in the comments below. A simple YES in the comments section below is fine.

But if you could let me know more specifically what you’re looking for in regards to email marketing, it will help me understand more of how to help you.

If enough people want to learn more about email marketing, I’ll continue to make more training videos. I want to make sure I make videos you want and more importantly need. Just let me know and I will do my best to crank them out for you.

Talk soon,

Adam

Content Syndication Marketing Rant About Video, Mind Maps, Taking Action & More…”

I recorded this using my iPhone when I was going off in a private conversation marketing rant about Social Marketing Strategies. The basic concepts here are simple and I use an example of the weight loss niche as thats the niche my friend is in.

It was really helpful to her, so I decided to post it here. Please bear with me here as I wasn’t planning on posting this publicly when I recorded it. There are also a few scratches in the audio as it was recorded spur of the moment partially through the conversation. Let me know what you think by leaving a comment below. Please “Like” and share it if you found it valuable!

Here’s the Slightly Edited Transcript:

Me: Okay, so Youtube is number one, right… in terms — I mean, there are many number ones. Facebook is number one in that, but Youtube, for this example, is number one in terms of, first it’s owned by Google and…

Friend: Really?

Me: Yeah. Youtube is owned by Google, and it has, you know, just… Youtube videos rank in Google. So the point I’m trying to make is that the more videos you create, that are helpful how-to videos, is going to do many things for your business, and for your customers, and your clients and so on.

The more content you create helps them even more, so that’s amazing, right! Because that’s the whole point of what you’re doing, is to help people and enjoy life and to make something — make a living and bring in abundance doing what you love. Right? That’s why you’re an entrepreneur.

So by making videos this way — the strategic way — you can use them and repurpose them, because you only have so much time in the day. You’ve got many things on your plate, I.E. “I got a blog post, I got a Twitter, I got a Facebook, I got a Pin It, I got to do all this stuff, right? And I’m a one-man, one-woman, show in this case.

Okay, so what do I do, right? So if you start your content with a mind map. Okay, like in Product Launch Formula, when I first bought Jeff Walker’s course, Product Launch Formula 3.0, I mean, I love Jeff Walker as you know.

But I mean, I get in the course and there’s the welcome video which is him in person. But really most of the training in the course is done using mind map screen recording. There’s the bonus training launching your list, which is all white board, which is awesome. I love white board training, and you definitely want to be doing that as well.

But the main gist of his course is him pulling up a mind map using ScreenFlow on the Mac or Camtasia on the PC and going through the points in the mind map for teaching the product, teaching his formula.

So, same concept for you, or any of us, we can use that concept too! It’s a great way to teach and that’s why he does it. You have your mind map as your framework, so it’s like, for you in this example being in the healthy food niche, it could be like, “Five foods that are going to help you stay energized all day.”

And so that could be the title of the mind map, and then it’s like food number one is the first branch. Food number two is the second branch — three, four, five — so say you have this mind map, it’s like five branches, and then you have them hidden.

So as you’re going through the video, you open Food One and it shows it, and it’s like blue-green algae and coconut water, for example. Okay, and so that’s all you really have written on the mind map because you know your topic so well. Therefore you’re able to improvise on top of your mind map branches which is awesome.

It has a great vibe. It’s like how I’m making this audio right now. As I’m recording myself, I’m improvising. I know my topic well, so I’m able to just go off on it.

So you say, Food Number One, blue-green algae and coconut water, and then you can speak over as that’s sitting there on the screen, on your mind map. So what’s happening now is you’re making a video, and then your video can then be turned into a blog post later.

Whether you transcribe it completely and then embed the video in the blog post and have the speaking transcribed, or you take that video now, you embed it into the blog post, and then you write a summary with your keywords and stuff, the H1, the H2, like we talked about for structuring a blog post properly.

And then you have a video on the blog: you publish it to Youtube. Take the embed code, you put it on your blog and, you know, you optimize your keywords in Youtube, and you go to your blog. You publish the blog post.

Then you go to — you click the “Pin” button from Pinterest, and you pin that video to your Pinterest page: you have a “How-to Videos” Pinterest page — or Pinterest “board” on your Pinterest page, and you take it and you post, “Hey, I just put up a blog post about a video!”

And you post that on Facebook and you Tweet it, “Hey I got…” and you hit the main key, top sites: YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, you know, there’s others, too — your email list, of course, is gigantic, too – then you just write a quick email:

“Hey, I just made this awesome video for you. It’s the Five Foods. I’m going to teach you how to get energized throughout the day. Link to the blog post.” Email your list.

So you do this all within a short period of time, right, so there’s like a surge of speed going to that video from Facebook, from Twitter, from your email list, so not only did you accomplish a couple things, you make a cool video that has your content that can then be transcribed or repurposed, summarized in a blog post, but then from there, you can do other things with it too.

Like how Pete Williams teaches in Profit Hacks, then you can take that and turn it into audio, make it a Podcast and do all this stuff which is totally incredible. Total genius. You want to do that too, but say you don’t, you know, at least do this, right, because this is going to give you the best chance to first get that video.

Because of all the YouTube training I’ve taken and my experience is the faster — you really only have some people say you have an hour, some people say you have 24 hours, some people say you have 20 minutes…

Meaning, the second you post that video on YouTube, if you can get a surge of traffic going to it quickly within 20 minutes by some people’s standards, an hour by other people’s standards, 24 hours by other people’s standards — I’d say that 20 minutes to an hour is more accurate, personally — then YouTube is going to see that and it’s going to push you up in the rankings.

You’re also going to rank in the search engines in Google for that keyword because you know when you type in Google you see the videos come up, some of the results are videos, if there are videos, which there usually aren’t now because the amount of videos uploaded to YouTube is insane. Like how many are uploaded, like, per minute, it’s incredible.

So anyway, the whole point is here is if you start with that video and the mind map, like how Jeff’s Release Product Formula Course does the training, it’s incredible. I do that too with some of my trainings, right, because it’s awesome.

It helps me because I can see a summary, and then I can improvise and make it really fun and cool and in the moment, and then you can do that strategy I just shared with you — get it out there all over the place pretty quickly — and that’s the point I was trying to make.

Thank you,

Adam

<itunes:summary>Content Syndication Marketing Rant About Video, Mind Maps, Taking Action & More…”
I recorded this using my iPhone when I was going off in a private conversation marketing rant about Social Marketing Strategies.
So you say, Food Number One, blue-green algae and coconut water, and then you can speak over as that’s sitting there on the s[...]</itunes:summary>

In this session I’m going to share with you what makes for a high performing Facebook ad image.

I’m also giving you 8 photo high converting Facebook ad photos templates perfectly sized at 110×80 pixels. One of the best ways to get your ad’s to stand out from all the rest, is to put a nice border around the image.

Over the last couple years testing this, I’ve found that using red and blue borders work the best. What I’ve also found to be even better is red or blue *dashed* borders like the one below.

High Converting Facebook Ad Photos

The Facebook ad image you see above is my best list/fan building ad of all time and is still running today.

I reference list/fan as one unit here because I’ve found building your list and your fan page at virtually the same time is the way to go.

We will talk more about how to do that in the future, but for now I wanted to show you this strategy and give you the exact templates I use for my own Facebook ads as well as my clients.

===> High Converting Facebook Ad Photos Templates

By the way, did you know that in 2011 Facebook ads revenue brought in approximately 3.1 $ BILLION? Why is that?

Facebook has created an advertising platform that gives opportunities to small businesses like never before in the history of advertising. One key fact to understand when advertising on Facebook is that it is largely “image driven.”

Yes of course having good ad copy is very very important, but the images are also very important too. Today I want to give you this high converting Facebook Ad’s Photo templates that I use in some of my ad’s.

===> High Converting Facebook Ad Photos Templates

You can use right now if you’re already running Facebook ad’s…

…or, save them for when you do start running some Facebook ads.

Facebook ad’s are the best way to grow your fan page and attract new targeted fans and customers. And when it’s done right, you won’t waste a bunch of time or money shooting in the dark.

We will be talking a bunch more in the future about how to run effective Facebook ad campaigns.

But today, I wanted to make sure I got these template over to you.

Download these templates and put them to work and let me know what you think. Leave a comment below. And if you enjoyed this post please “Like” it and share it with your friends.

Have an amazing day

Today I’m going to share with you the secret engagement strategy you’ve probably seen before, but you may have not started utilizing yet. I’m also going to give you 8 custom branding shareable photo templates to download today, that will help you implement this strategy.

Use these templates when creating branded shareable photos. When used correctly, these shareable photo templates will help you increase your engagement rate and expand your brand in a viral way.

If you don’t have a few minutes read this post, then you can just click the download link below, and download the shareable branding photo templates right now. However, if you keep reading, you’ll have a deeper understanding of why this is important to growing your business.

===> [Shareable Photo Templates]

Creating branded shareable photos will have a big impact on your engagement rate and expanding your brand.

Have you noticed that the majority of posts shared on Facebook these days are pictures or quotes that have been turned into pictures? Think about the rapid rise of Pinterest and Instagram. People love to share photos, and Facebook rewards your “edge rank” when your Fans share, “Like” and comment on your posts.

This is an important aspect to incorporate into your Facebook marketing.

Remember back in the 13 Fan Engaging Posts report, we talked about how “Edge Rank” is what determines how often your posts show in your Fans News Feed. It doesn’t matter how many fans you have, if there not seeing and then engaging with your posts, then nothing else matters. Engagement is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!

It’s “incredibly important” to post relevant and engaging content that your fans and customers will want to share. When your fans “Share” your posts, that gives you the highest “Edge Rank.” Plus, when you use this strategy and your posts are shared, they are branded to your business and have your website URL on the photo as well!

This is why creating branded shareable photos is very important.

So how do you come up with branded photos to post that are engaging and SHAREABLE? I giving you the “viral branding photo templates” today that I use for all my Fan pages and share with my mastermind group, friends and coaching clients. You can use these when creating branded shareable photos.

You probably remember seeing me show you a couple posts in the “13 Fan Engaging Posts Report” where I used this exact template.

===> [Shareable Photo Templates]

Here’s an example of the template I’m referring to. Lets look at the image below, and break down why this is a very effective technique to grow your brand or service using Facebook. Note: This post probably would of done much better if I had added a call-to-action as well. I.E. Click “Like” If You Love Body Butter.

Notice how this image did really well in regards to “Like’s, Comments, and Shares.” Then notice how at the bottom, it shows my fan page URL and website URL. The concept here is take relevant and valuable tips and tricks that your market is interested in, and turn those tips and tricks into a nice branded shareable picture.

Then there will be a strong incentive to share your tips and tricks photos which in turn will do a few very important things. Lets talk about a couple of those things right now.

It helps your market achieve the results their looking to accomplish.

It rises your engagement rate on Facebook

It virally spreads the message about your brand or service. (The post above was shared 328 times. That means the friends of each of those 328 Fans who shared this post, had an opportunity to become exposed to my company.

You can start creating your own custom photos that are branded to your Fan Page & your website right now. Then your fans can help you spread the word about your brand or service when they share your picture posts.

Just type in your quote, helpful tips and tricks, or add an image, or both. Then add your direct Facebook URL and your website URL and save it. That’s It!

I’m giving you 2 sizes of shareable photo templates usable in both Photoshop and Illustrator. These are perfectly sized to fit into Facebook. If you don’t have Photoshop or Illustrator, ask someone you know who does to help you out. It should only take them a few minutes!

If that’s not an option for you at this time, see the following tools below. They will get you started can be use in creative ways to achieve similar results.

Facebook edge rank and how it relates to your own businesses Facebook rank.

Facebook edge rank is the most important things to understand about your businesses Facebook rank. This is a critical factor that is little known by most Facebook fan page owners and administrators.

In this blog post we’re going to break down the key things you need to know about Facebook edge rank and some posting tips on how you can increase your own Facebook rank.

In a nutshell…

…Facebook edge rank is what determines how often people see your Facebook fan page posts in their news feed. Pretty important right? Absolutely!

Understanding when to post is a big part of making the most of your Facebook edge rank and ultimately your businesses Facebook rank.

I heard on a webinar not to long ago from Mari Smith that the average edge rank for a Facebook fan page is about 2%. Which means if you have 2,000 fans on your Facebook page, that means that on average only 40 people are seeing your posts.

Crazy right?

Take a look at your Facebook page and divide the total number of fans you have by the number of people “Talking about this” on your page.

This is why I personally am such a proponent of strong Facebook fan engagement. Hence the free report I’m giving away when you join my newsletter.

So back to the Facebook edge rank and how it relates to your businesses fan page Facebook rank.

Here’s what you need to know…

People sharing your videos or photos is the Best for your Facebook rank.

Video & photo posts are given the second highest Facebook rank.

Comments are given the third highest Facebook rank.

Facebook fans “Liking” your Fan page posts are given the lowest Facebook rank.

Now even though Comments are better than likes doesn’t mean you don’t want to Post “Click Like” style posts, because you do. We always want to switch up our posting style. Instead just keep this in mind when making your posts.

The most effective Facebook posts I have ever made so far have been “Picture Posts” that had a question involved in the post as well. Check out this screen shot below for an example:

This post went really well. It received a ton of comments and almost 100 likes as well with 6 shares.

Think about ways you can make a relative picture post that has a question attached to the post as well.

Since me and my market loves Superfoods, I posted a picture of Goji Berries that I took and build a fun post out of it. I learned a bunch from it too hearing everyones feedback. People really got into it.

Depending on what your business or service offers think about whats relative to your market and find ways to build posts around that content.

Remember Facebook fan engagement is about them, not us. This is how we increase our Facebook rank. We need to have fun out there to be successful.

When Facebook fan page owners want their Facebook rank to go up, but only make posts selling stuff, it’s going to be a rough ride.

Instead, think about “what can I post that my fans would engage with… what kind of post do I need to make posts that are “Sharable.”

So now are we seeing more how Facebook edge rank and how it relates to your businesses Facebook Rank.

Edge rank checker is a great resource you can test your Facebook edge rank and ultimately your businesses Facebook rank.

Keep in mind as well that we don’t want to burry our fans with posts either in hopes to increase our Facebook rank. It’s about finding a nice balance of post frequency. I would say post at least once a day… I personally shoot for 2x a day as I’ve found it the best for my page.

I generally like to post once in the earlier part of the day, and once in the early evening after people are done eating and back on their computers. Remember people with one click can “hide our pages” so they don’t show up in their news feed. We want to be very mindful of this as we are boosting our own Facebook rank.

Again the key is to create highly engaging posts with valuable and sharable content so our fans look forward to our posts, not looking to hide our posts.

Here’s an info graphic that provides a simple explanation of your Facebook rank (Edge Rank). Plus it gives a few posting tips as well you can use to boost your Facebook rank (Edge Rank). It was put together by a company that makes the really cool branded posting app “Post Planner.”

Aloha and welcome to the Social Strategizer site. I wanted to make this first blog post and get this party started.

I couldn’t be more excited for you to be here right now! My name is Adam Collins and I’m the founder of Superfood Snacks Inc., and the creator of Social Strategizer.

I put Social Strategizer together as a resource center for all of your Facebook marketing needs.

Unfortunately, almost all Fan Pages out there today are doing their Facebook marketing completely wrong.

They keep focusing on sell sell sell instead of what they should be doing.

Of course strategic Facebook Marketing involves selling, but not in the way most marketers think of it. Think of it like this. Facebook is the biggest party that exists and it goes on every day. Everyone’s there and the average time people stay at this party each day is 58 minutes.

Welcome to the biggest party on Earth, Facebook!

Ok so picture you’re at this amazing part where you get to connect with all these like minded people.

Now picture yourself in an engaging conversation at this amazing party and some obnoxious guy interrupts your conversation and starts talking constantly about himself and how cool he is.

He’s not concerned with your conversation at all, but instead wants to tell you all about his multi level marketing business and how the product he’s selling is the best ever. Now how long do you think you’d want to hang around that guy?

Now sure here and there, you can talk about what you do and what you sell as thats all natural… but for the most part people aren’t at the the best party ever to listen to you talk about how great what your selling is or how cool you are. Don’t be that guy.

Really understanding Facebook marketing and engaging your customers and fans is an art and it’s a very important art… as you don’t want to be missing out and blow your chances at the Best Party Ever. Remember everyone is there and word gets out quickly!

Now if you take a look around at almost all of the Facebook fan pages out there that keep pushing sell, sell, sell in their posts,
you’ll notice their Fans aren’t too happy or ENGAGED.

Their is a right way to sell through Facebook and we will be doing a ton of talking about how to do that in future blog posts, videos, PDF reports, webinars, teleseminars and cheat sheets that i’ll provide you.

I’ve got a ton of amazing free information to share with you. Most of which took about 2 years to figure it all out. Trust me if you’re struggling with your Facebook Fan Page, I know what it feels like and how frustrating it can be.

I started my Facebook Fan Page for Superfood Snacks on July 22 2009… and for about the first year or so my page was failing big time. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing with Facebook marketing and it definitely showed.

I didn’t know what to post, how to interact, how to set things up properly… basically my Fan Page was lame and I didn’t have the most important aspect to Facebook marketing set up on my page either.

Basically I was doing everything wrong. I had no idea how to succeed at Facebook Marketing.

What is this “most important aspect to Facebook marketing” I’m speaking of?

It’s a professionally designed branded custom landing tab inside your Facebook page. This custom landing page needs to have a call to action to opt-in to a follow up list such as your email list, mobile list or sign up form, in exchange for a free valuable piece of content or coupon.

This is the most important component to strategic Facebook marketing.

We will go much deeper into that topic in the future.

You know seeing others massively succeed with Facebook marketing, while my page was suffering big time really spurred me to some frustration. It was then that I decided to figure all this stuff out.

I started following many social media blogs, tons of Fan Pages, reading books, following all the Facebook marketing experts and spent several thousand dollars in online Marketing courses including many on Facebook marketing.

More importantly implementing, testing and taking action has now really started to turn into something good…

…and it gets better every day. So this is a fun Facebook marketing journey that I’m inviting you to take with me as we constantly adapt to the ever changing rhythm on Facebook, the biggest and best party on Earth.
Currently my company Superfood Snacks: https://www.facebook.com/SuperfoodSnacks
is the #1 Fan Page in our micro niche of (Raw Chocolate Companies).

We love our Fans and have so much fun on our Facebook Fan Page.

I Love Facebook Marketing.

I actually help several of my friends with their small businesses on Facebook for free, because I love it so much and I like making it fun and easy.

One key to remember about Facebook marketing is to create free valuable content that is “SHARABLE.”

Above you’ll see a page I put together called “Resources,” check it out, it’s awesome. This is where I put all the new resources I come across throughout my daily researching and testing.

I’ve compiled a list for you broken down into categories on the Resources page to make your Facebook Marketing efforts much easier.

Everything from the best professional email auto-responders, to contest applications, professional Fan Page creation tools, posting tools, miscellaneous tools, apps and much more.

I’ve filtered through all the apps out there and put this page together for our community to use and stay up to date with whats current in regards to leveraging your Facebook marketing efforts.

Just check it out, I think you’re going to love it. Also if you know of any amazing tools to help with Facebook marketing that aren’t already listed, let me know and I’ll check them out and most likely add them to the list.

If you ever have any questions feel free to click on the Ask Adam tab above and let me know. I totally here to help you and would love to see your Facebook Marketing efforts maximized.

Good Customer Service Is Not Enough…

Today I followed a link in an email sent that was sent to me that I was quite excited about!

It was a special offer on a internal body cleanse that I was thinking about getting for a while. So the excitement to see that they were offering a 25% discount was perfect, so I clicked the link.

I put the cleanse in the shopping cart applied the coupon code and was getting even more excited! Then I clicked on “Calculate Shipping” to complete the order. Thats when I was shocked to see that the only option to ship what would easily fit in a USPS medium to large flat rate box was priced at $40 something $. It was after hours so I couldn’t call them right then, so I thought to myself… i’m sure they have good customer service enough to understand my request and ship me the clease via USPS.

So I kept the browser open thinking I’ll call them tomorrow.

I called them today to see if they would ship out the cleanse to me in Kauai via USPS flat rate so I didn’t waste like $25 (which was the total $ savings from the coupon code).

They said I’m sorry sir… we can’t do that. This totally stumped me?!? I thought to myself HUH, Really?

I asked, “you can’t just ship it to me, your shipping rate is like $45 to ship this little kit. She said I’m sorry sir.

See I know about Hawaii shipping issues from the inside out as we use to ship some of our Superfood Snacks from Kauai. We shipped all internet orders during that time via USPS for so called good customer service but we do so much more.

I think as a small business owner we need to always be thinking about how to have outstanding customer service as good customer service is not enough.

Not even close. Not any more at least.

What inspired this rant was obviously the lack of good customer service, in my opinion is horrible customer service. The woman who answered the phone had no interest in working something out to help me.

She lost the sale in 2 seconds. She was nice for sure, and many businesses owners think thats good customer service. Those are the rules and you just be nice to the customer but don’t budge from the rules.

We if thats the case then absolutely 100% the truth of the matter is that good customer service is not enough.

WE NEED TO DELIVER OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!

Good customer service is not enough. I left that call with a funny feeling of confusion because to me as a small business owner we focus on the opposite and deliver incredible customer service. I mean in todays time if you want to stand and you need to do something that everyone isn’t

For example here’s a few questions to consider when training your customer service staff:

If a customer orders something, do you ever surprise them with something extra?

As an information marketer, do you give away some of your best stuff and actually offer prompt kind support?

As a local business owner, lets say a restaurant… do you offer free appetizers or something on certain days.

When someone complains, do you do your best to hear them out and immediately look to create a solution?

Do you go further if a mistake is make and instead of just refunding their money, do you offer them a free $25 gift certificate for next time?

Do you run contests and sweepstakes to give your fans and customers some appreciation and fun.

Do you survey your customers and ask: ”If there was one thing we could do better, what would it be?”

Do you set your intention and company focus/modo to deliver incredible mind blowing customer service, not just good customer service?

Do you use your Facebook Fan Page as a way to connect further with your fans and customers?

When a mistake is made do you go over the top to turn an upset customer into a Raving Fan?

Just remember that good customer service is not enough. Not even close! If you want to stand out in the crowd and give your fans and customers what they deserve, then good customer service is not enough.

How To Deal With Complaints On Facebook…

Hey it’s Adam, Social Strategizr here…

Have you ever had someone post and angry comment or blatantly bash your company on your Facebook Fan Page? In other words, freaks out on your Fan Page. Or just have a legitimate customer complaint you have to deal with on your Page? How to deal with complaints on Facebook can be frustrating.

If have…

…A couple times actually… and it can be quite stressful…

…especially when it’s so blatantly obvious and far from an accurate statement.

As difficult as it may be, we still need to respond to these posts. On the other hand a customer compliant can be a big opportunity as well. Dealing with complaints on Facebook isn’t the most fun thing to do, but they do need our attention.

So how do we deal with complaints on Facebook? Hundreds, thousands or even millions of people may be seeing our response.

Mistakes in life and business are normal, they happen. So everyone and every business is going to make them. Complaints on Facebook are going to most likely happen in some manner or another.

How we deal with complaints on Facebook is what matters.

In my company Superfood Snacks, we thrive on amazing customer service, its our passion. But in the past, mistakes have happened for sure. Whether we made the mistake, or one of the shipping companies lost a customers order, mistakes happened and customers complained.

This stuff happens and it’s how we handle it that matters. You can almost always turn a pissed off customer into a Super Fan if you handle it properly. Listening and being nice is key.

What I tell my team is we don’t want a satisfied customer, we want and ecstatic customer. Anytime we’ve made a mistake shipping a customers order we always make it way better.

We do things like doubling there order size, and shipping the replacement air mail. Little things make a difference.

I do this because that’s how I’d like a company to treat me. It’s simply the right thing to do. Remember you can almost always turn a situation that looks bad completely upside down and make it the best ever.

Here’s how to deal with complaints on Facebook. I put a simple 3 step protocol you can follow below on dealing with complaints on Facebook.

How To Deal With Complaints On Facebook:

Don’t feed into the anger, or react to quickly. Take a step back and yet another step back, take a step back. (As much as you may want to respond defending your side of the situation, DON”T). Listen to what they’re saying. Then wait a little bit to see if your Fans and customers come to the rescue on your behalf. (Meaning your fans post a response in defense to the person who is making these angry remarks.

Breath and relax for another couple minutes or so. Remember everyone can see your response back to this person, be NICE.

Regardless if your fans come to your rescue, still send a similar response as below...

Hi (Name), my name is (Your Name) I’m the customer service manager (Or whatever Title You Have Etc.) I’m here to help you and I’m sorry about (The Problem), thank you for bringing this to our attention, we will get this taken care of right away. Would you please send an email to our customer service at: (Your Customer Service Email) and I will follow up with you personally. Thank you (Your Name)

Also remember the possibility that, depending on how large your company is, sometimes competitors pay hecklers to cause a ruckus on social media in an attempt to make you look bad.

And sometimes there’s just hecklers out there, and thats what they do for whatever reason. Do your best not to let it bother you and take the appropriate action moving forward.

Sometimes 1 harsh comment can take us down into the dumps, even if you heard 100 positive comments, but don’t worry about it so much. It’s part of being in business and you’re going to be fine.

However, know that there is an option if absolutely need to be… to ban a person from your page.

It would be best to strive not to do this unless you absolutely need to. There’s many more sites besides Facebook out there that they can talk about you on.

Especially it they get banned from your page when there upset. Dealing with complaints on Facebook isn’t the most exciting thing to do, but there are solutions of course.

Just follow the steps above if you ever have to deal with a situation like that and you should be good to go!
